Tea Party

I've always been a huge fan of high tea (think: scones, sandwiches, dainty desserts and yummilicious pastries) - it's no wonder why I'm always at TWG chilling with my friends. Heck, even my 21st birthday bash was held at the Rose Veranda (Shangri-la Singapore), with the theme 'Breakfast at Tiffany.' How apt.

In any case, today was just yet another lazy Sunday...save for the fact that my brother, cousin and I spent the bulk of our Sunday afternoon appreciating a high tea buffet at the Tea Lounge, Regent Singapore. It was my first time at the Tea Lounge (yes, I actually missed it the first time round when I was scouring for high tea venues to hold my birthday bash). According to my cousin, it's pretty common for people to be on the waiting list for months cos the food spread here is really good (caviar, salmon, two choice of unlimited tea and beverages, wagyu, foie gras pate and desserts/pastries for just $48++). But what really impressed me was the impeccable service. The moment we stepped into the tea lounge, the manager (he's French, by the way) warmly showed us to our seat and even took time off to explain the food spread to us. The servers too would also dropped by once in a while and made (some) small talk with us. Such wonderful service indeed.

Managed to snap this Hawaiian Floral Dress from an online local (Singaporean) blogshop by the name of Sandyjoy. This is my first purchase from a blogshop! I've never shop from local blogshops before so guess this is a first. Got it from the mortar store (apparently there was a Fashion Showcase at the Suntec Convention Hall over the weekends and there were more than thirty blogshops setting stall there). Oh and yes, my metallic pumps! I've been dying to wear them out for ages! :>

SHEER DECADENCE

I'm back in Melbourne and sigh, it's the start of a new semester again. I don't really wanna delve too much about school right now (but yay slack timetable and no school on Fridays! AWESOMO!!!) so I guess I'll probably just post some pictures up.

It was my cousin Mark's 21st bash and I wore this to his birthday dinner. A Topshop shirt and a sheer black maxi also from Topshop, along with a Chanel 2.55 and vintage clogs.

He's the number one reason why I left with a heavy heart. I'll probably never see him again. I love you, my little baby. Always <3

Ain't it pretty? Taken by yours truly while I was at the Equinox at Swissotel for high tea with the Boyfriend. Singapore is soooooo pretty!!

Makeup Wonders

As you can see, I'm pretty much a late bloomer when it comes to boys, fashion and yes, make-up. Yours truly must have thought that natural beauty was the way to go till...recently. I've been heading down to Sephora and the local drugstores recently to stock up on my fill of lipsticks (errrrrr, yes, that's my latest obsession). Bought rouge sticks from Anna Sui (packaging is sooooo pretty; can't help it!), Topshop and The Body Shop. I've been using ones from Dior and Revlon when I decided to try new shades. I'm thinking of getting those Chanel and MAC ones (almost every fashion magazines are raving about MAC's lipsticks). No prizes for guessing why one of my uni blog's named lipsticktray.

Speaking about Sephora, it's makeup haven for all girls!! I love love love Urban Decay and yes, it's the best place to shop for a girlfriend's birthday present! And plus, they do provide gift-wrapping services as well! And the staff there are always super friendly! :) So if you're a good gf of mine, you pretty much know what you're gonna get from me - huge stash of makeup!

FLEA @ SCAPE YOUTH PARK :D

Hi guys,  my sis and I will be there this Sat selling both NEW and preloved clothes, accessories, bags and shoes. Items are mainly from high-street brands such as Topshop, H&M, Miss Selfridge, F21, Urban Outfitters as well as as Aussie brands like Sportsgirl, Supre and Dotti. Prices start from $2. It's our first flea experience (as vendors) so we are not expecting much. Our preloved items are in good condition (most of them are not yet worn - yes, we can be such impulsive shoppers) and we take pride in the stuff that we sell. Do pop by and say hi if you're in the vicinity! It'll be nice to see a familiar face. It'll be even better if you can bring a friend along! Seeya this Sat! :D

I've realised I've been neglecting this blog, but do pardon me for I've been busy sorting out pile of (old) clothes. That's right, my sis and I will be holding a stall at a flea market the week after. We'll be mainly selling new and preloved items from our wardrobe. We usually shop at high-street brands, so do expect stuff from Massimo Dutti, ZARA, Mango, Topshop (a personal favourite), F21, H&M as well as Aussie brands such as Sportsgirl (another personal favourite), Dotti, Supre and Bardot. I'm sure we'll include stuff from other brands, but till then, we gotta sort everything out. No kidding, when you've amassed a huge collection of clothes over the years (from two girls at that), do expect a whole lot of outfits. Our clothes are also in good condition (I gurantee that we wore them less than five times on average). Also up for sale are rings, headbands, necklaces, bags and shoes :)

P.S: Will be attending a fashion show at Zouk tomorrow. Can't wait to post up new pictures! :D

LOVELORN

Well, you guys might know that I'm in a long-distance relationship. I've been with my boyfriend for almost two years and I must say, even though we have loads of bickering sessions and little petty fights, we still love each other dearly. It's never easy for one to be in a LDR, and for that, I salute those whose long-distance relationships are successful. Technically speaking, my parents themselves are in a LDR as well. Dad's stationed in HK and occasionally flies to Milan, while mum is well, mum in Singapore.

I'm actually writing this cos I miss my boyfriend of two years dearly. I sent him off at the airport this morning (he boarded the 7AM flight from Melbourne to Auckland) and it has indeed been a long day for me. Thank God I didn't cry at the airport this time round (bonus points for me!!! :> ), though my tears started streaming down when I got home. It'll be just a month more before I get to see him again and for that, I can't wait to look forward to 4th July.

Picture taken by the boyfriend when we were out at Brunwick the other day. Im wearing a Zara coat, black shiny matt skirt from Supre, tights from American Apparel and black ankle booties with shear lining from Topshop.

Speaking of Brunswick, omg it's awesome!! The boyfriend loves it there and so do I. Loads of vintage stores (still can't find Savers though!) and off-beaten shops with quirky little finds. Very different from the ones at Bourke Street Mall, I must say. This is my fourth time there and when my allowance comes in, I'm so gonna explore the streets there and (literally) shop til' I drop.

I guess thats all for now, cos my head hurts and I'm pretty much in low spirits today. But that said, if you are in a LDR yourself, or if you were to know of any successful LDR coupling, pray tell! :) It'll be nice to give someone like me hope to hang in there <3
