Floral Power

I really have a thing for anything floral-related. Floral clogs? Yes. Floral skirts? Yes. Floral scarves? Yes. But my latest obsession has gotta be floral pants (though I'm also digging printed pencil skirts at the moment; and yes I'll do a blog post on said skirts really soon).

It's a very versatile look (you can pair floral pants with tees for a chic summer look or long tunics with military-style boots during the cold seasons) and I'm sure the following pictures serve as a good testament why floral pants are the new it pants. As for me, I'm currently lusting after the Jordan trouser (Fiji print) from Motel.

The Olsen Twins

I know most people think they're the epitome of hobo chic. Some think they can't dress to save their lives (even with all the money in the world and two successful fashion lines between them). But I'm really fascinated with stuff that the Olsens wear (even though I gotta 'fess up that I still can't tell the difference between Ashley and Mary-Kate). If critics think they look homeless and hobo-ish, I say at least they nailed it with confidence and style. Cos y'know, even all the money in the world can't buy you that.

And of course, who can forget that $39,000 Alligator backpack from The Row?

Velvet Crush

I remember wearing a lace dress to a club with my girlfriends eons ago when one of them went, "Wow, you really do have a thing for lace." Fast forward to a year on, I think it'd be more appropriate if said friend were to go from lace to velvet. And it doesn't help that today's article published by The Age talks about how velvet's fashion next big thing. Oh wait, it already is.
